Bad Habit

2 samuel 11:1-5
11:1 And it came to pass, after the year was expired, at the time when kings go forth to battle, that David sent Joab, and his servants with him, and all Israel; and they destroyed the children of Ammon, and besieged Rabbah. But David tarried still at Jerusalem.

11:2 And it came to pass in an eveningtide, that David arose from off his bed, and Walked upon the roof of the king's house: and from the roof he saw a woman washing Herself; and the woman was very beautiful to look upon .

11:3 And David sent and enquired after the woman. And one said, Is not this Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite?

11:4 And David sent messengers, and took her; and she came in unto him, and he lay with her; for she was purified from her uncleanness: and she returned unto her house.

11:5 And the woman conceived, and sent and told David, and said, I am with child.

God has given us a good habit for us to do. But when it was not the way we do our lives become unstable. If we already have a habit to pray in the morning, then when we lazy to pray. It will poison us for not praying. Likewise, when we used to worship on Sundays and once we do not worship. then it will make us far from God.

Similarly, David. David has a habit of battle at the turn of the year. But one day that he did not commit his habit. David should go forth to battle but he sent Joab to fight. Then something unexpected happened to David. He later had an affair and slept with Bathsheba.

Once described the events in the evening he rose from the bed. it means before it he had never done that. In other words, he had violated the Lord's habit has set.

'Once' is the keyword that brought David to sin. so must we. we often try to sin. Maybe we think that once again no problem. Once we tried drugs is not a problem, once sex without being married is not a problem, or so once it does not go to church is not a problem. But in reality, continuous problem because all our sin.

David suffered severe problems after he committed a sin that heavy. The matter was continued up to David until he was old. And it seemed not worth with the sin that David did. But that's the truth. So if we have a mind to try both out of habit that God has given, then immediately expel the thought and return it with prayer. Because if we violate the negative impact will be very bad for us.

God bless you
